These photos are of Mad Men themed 21st I had the other weekend. Everyone dressed to the theme and we had it at a bar called Library Bar which fitted the theme to a tee, it has old sofas and couches accompanied by old-school paintings (boats, women, landscapes, horses etc..) and walls lined with books adding to a cosy 60’s feel. There were speeches, a croquembouche tower my brother’s girlfriend Dani made (which was filled with chocolate baileys cream and covered in dark chocolate), an 18 minute long video montage my Dad put together of me as an embarrassing youth and a black silk floor length Madame Hawke dress that James bought me.

Such a good night.. and all my friends and family looked incredible.

Also, last night James & I got to see Sisters of Mercy play at the Powerstation in Auckland which was a great night to say the least.. loved that you knew where the venue was judging by the amount of purple hued smoke spilling from the entrance onto the main road. Felt like the highlight of the night was ‘Dominion’ with excessive lights flashing extra smoke and “Mother Russia rain down!” being belted at the end.
